A little about Jim…
He is an experienced speaker, trainer, and facilitator who has worked with hundreds of teams to help them identify and achieve their goals.
For over 23 years his work life has been devoted to helping others. Whether as a fundraiser for Metro United Way, a local organizer and later C.O.O. for EarthSave International, or in his current role doing Marketing and Development for the Kids Center, each job has been about helping others.
His experience in marketing, communications, volunteer management, media relations, event planning, and networking will help raise the profile of BNI in the region and create special programs to enhance the brand. Jim’s personal experience of 11 years as a BNI member, educator, and officer has allowed him to put the principles of BNI to use for his nonprofit, his chapter, and others in his region.
Jim has embodied the “Giver’s Gain” philosophy of BNI in his career as a nonprofit fundraiser and marketer for over 20 years. He has helped thousands of volunteers learn to be able to give back to a cause while maintaining a successful business and home life. Jim has always stepped up to serve as a leader, officer, and even President of just about every group he has ever been a part of. Currently he serves as a Booster Club volunteer, Spirit Team Chair, and Trustee at his children’s school.
As of June 1st, he is leaving the nonprofit world and pursuing a path of entrepreneurism. His focus will be two-fold, but not surprisingly, both new roles will have the same goal at their core; that of helping other people. In addition to his role with BNI, Jim is also going in to business with one of his best friends, Stacey Vicari, who has built a personal life coaching practice to help people learn how to get from today to the life they want. Jim will serve as her National Marketing Director focused on building this solo coaching practice into a full personal growth and development company. To learn more go to http://www.myideallife.com
Jim credits strong organizational skills, a high energy level, and a passion for helping others as keys to his success in business and life. While Jim works hard in business, he believes in having a balanced and healthy life as a true measure of one’s success. His motto is, “always be prepared to succeed with Plan B.”
